How to upload image files to Knovio

Do you have photographs, screenshots, or graphics that you would like to present with Knovio? You can upload a group of image files (.jpg, .gif, .png) from your computer to use as Knovio slides:

  1. Make sure all of the image files you’d like to use are stored in the same folder on your computer. It may be easier to save copies of your files in a new folder.
  2. To specify the order in which you’d like your images to appear, add an index number to the end of each file name (1, 2, 3, etc.). Otherwise, they’ll appear in alphabetical order.
  3. In Knovio, create a new presentation and click the “Upload Slides” button. Select all of the image files and click “Open.”

Your images will take a minute or two to upload to Knovio, and then you’re off and running!

Not satisfied with how your PowerPoint slides look?

Knovio sometimes has difficulty converting PowerPoint files that use special fonts, graphics, or embedded objects like spreadsheets. If you’ve tried uploading a PowerPoint file to Knovio and you aren’t satisfied with how your slides were converted, we recommend exporting your slides as images:

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Select “File -> Save as Pictures…” If the “Save as Pictures…” menu option is not available in your version of PowerPoint, instead select “File -> Save As…” and then choose “JPEG” from the “Format” drop-down menu.
  3. In the file browser, choose a location on your computer to save your image files. PowerPoint will create a new folder for you.
  4. In Knovio, create a new presentation and click the “Upload Slides” button. Select all of the image files and click “Open.”

Your slides will take a minute or two to upload to Knovio, but now they will look exactly like they do on your computer!
